In regards to that question: maybe we're too busy looking at the other garden to look after our own? ^^

And it seems the word "why" roughly means... "for what reason or purpose". What a Face

  • On the other side, the sun shines directly above the grass.

Is it? I'm on the other side though so I wouldn't know.

I can't. There's a 'No Walking on The Grass' post as well as a 'No Touchy' post. I think other than the Sun's position, these are some of the reasons it is greener.

I found out in another area... the grass on the other side was greener because it was a different grass.

The council planted it after they installed something.

Ah, that probably means I should stop parking my car on the grass.

What type of grass was is?

Observing at the time, I noticed it was a green type.

It seems to be okay even during harsh periods that the other street grasses don't like.

The council here has some other great things too.

Most garden mulching machines look like they struggle on a few branches.
But the council was quickly throwing piles of stuff into their machine, including entire (large) tree logs.

Also, you can help yourself to food and drink in their office kitchen. Sometimes there is wine and beer in the fridge.
